Closure of property on Rievaulx Road, Skelton

On 23rd April, we attended court to submit an application to close an address on Rievaulx Road, Skelton. This address had been reported as an ongoing nuisance over a period of time, causing annoyance, disturbance and ongoing concern to local residents. Guisborough Neighbourhood Policing Team, Beyond Housing and R&C Borough Council worked hard to gather evidence and compile a submission for court.

Thankfully, the order was granted, so we immediately carried out the work to close the property. 

Redcar & East Cleveland Neighbourhood Inspector Neil Deluce stated, “Sadly, we had yet another example of people with no care for how their own behaviour and that of people visiting their address was affecting the local community. A house closure order has now been granted and I hope the community around Rievaulx Road will now see an immediate and noticeable improvement in their quality of life."
